Candlelight Opera are pleased to present a new, fully staged production for 2008/9 season. Following the recent success of the previous productions of Mozart's Cosi fan tutte and The Marriage of Figaro, they complete the trilogy of operas written with the Italian librettist
Lorenzo da Ponte.

Mozart's retelling of the Don Juan story expertly blends comedy, tragedy and some of the most magnificent music every composed. The Don commits murder, attempts multiple seductions and is finally condemned to hell. A maze of secondary plotlines add romance and humour, while Mozart's music soars throughout.

Beautifully costumed in daring 17th century style dress, this production is set in the style and manner of the Restoration court of King Charles II.
