By kind permission of the Earl of Pembroke, Candlelight Opera are pleased to return toWilton House with this beautifully costumed performance, new for 2010. The music of Tchaikovsky perfectly expresses the intensity of the romance and captures brilliantly the atmosphere of both provincial and cosmopolitan Russia. The intimate setting of The Double Cube Room offers audience the perfect setting to watch this gentle story unfold.
This historic venue is home to some magificent works of fine art and antiques. Audience are invited to arrive early from 5 pm to enjoy a private access tour of the State Appartments before taking their seats for the evening's performance.
